Credit Risk Analyst – Russian Speaking

Through managing the day-to-day credit risk processes, Citi’s Credit Risk team plays a pivotal role in supporting Citi’s mission. We are seeking specifically, Russian speaking Credit Risk Analysts to join this dynamic team. Your job will be focused on the production of Transactions and Portfolio & Industry reviews, while providing support to a variety of tasks related to credit risk analysis.

What you’ll do
 

• Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi’s Corporate Clients based in Kazakhstan and Middle East by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties using both quantitative and qualitative factors
• Complete Credit Analysis write-up memos and assign internal ratings based on independent assessment and judgement completed on the due diligence of the client and industry knowledge
• Continuously monitor the covered portfolio, including following industry trends, impacts to key relationships, and escalate potential credit issues to Credit Risk Team Leads, Risk and Banking partners
• Partner with applicable regional and industry stakeholders in Banking and Independent Risk in the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios

What we’ll need from you

• Strong proficiency in Russian and English (written and verbal)
• Fundamental analytical skills, including an understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile) with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues
• Basic knowledge of financial statements
• Basic industry research capabilities, including risk and key drivers
• Basic understanding of credit policy and procedures; proactively refers to resources as needed
• Ability to identify potential risk issues that need escalation and escalates them promptly
