The Credit Analyst is primarily responsible for independent Risk Analysis, Internal Risk Rating and sharia compliant structuring of transaction, for both bilateral and syndication deals. The Analyst will be responsible for coverage of various economic sectors and include the developments in risk analysis, to help the business heads in making an informed decision. The Analyst will focus on the sectors of Infrastructure, Public-Private Partnerships, Manufacturing, and Construction & Contracting. The analyst will be the originator for Credit Proposals from Business Unit and will be expected to contribute to the presentations to Credit and Investment Committees.

Responsibilities:

Strategic

  • Cover the market extensively to track the emerging trends, evolving regulatory landscape for the focal sectors.
  • Contribute towards development of policies and procedures to deliver high quality, efficient and seamless credit process.

Operational

New Credit Proposals

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with the origination/ relationship team throughout the assessment process.
  • Gather and process information on Project Finance transactions.
  • Summarize Financial Models in a succinct manner for decision makers.
  • Provide the basic Credit Proposal template for the origination team.

    Credit Risk Review/Portfolio monitoring

  • Work with original teams to ensure information flow and continuous monitoring of the loan portfolio.
  • Undertake a thorough review of historic and projected financial performance, business trajectory, and credit worthiness of borrowers.
  • Prepare Ordinary Credit Risk and Sharia Risk Rating reports.
  • Assist the Relationship team in conducting annual review of the portfolio and timely processing of proposals as per envisaged TAT.

Data Management & Housekeeping

  • Ensure periodical update of KYC/AML data of the clients.
  • Monitor DPD status, Deferrals and Covenants of the portfolio.
  • Update the physical & shared folder Credit Files of clients. 

Organizational

  • Keep self and the team informed of the applicable regulatory, legal and compliance guidelines.
  • Continuous learning, development and assimilation of knowledge base with the team members on the assigned economic sectors.
