The Country Head of GPS is responsible for proactively managing HSBC’s GPS activities for corporate, commercial, and financial institutions clients. Positioning HSBC as the top provider of such services in each of its chosen customer segments within the country.

In this role, you will:

• Drive balanced revenue growth and proactively manage costs to maximize the financial returns of the Global Payments Solutions business in the country, achieve FRP targets and key performance indicators.

• Support the development of GPS strategy and lead its execution in country and ensure an optimal balance of NFI and NII.

• Deliver a comprehensive and competitive suite of Global Payments Solutions solutions through a range of channels which aligns with the propositional requirements of the Customer Groups.

• Lead the development and execution of a high-quality client-centric service culture that delivers superior support to CMB and GBM clients across the range of GPS products in the country.

• Position HSBC as the top provider of Global Payments Solutions services in the country by developing an appropriate marketing strategy to ensure that HSBC is ranked number one in all significant cash management surveys and the brand is enhanced.

• Take responsibility for running a compliant GPS business which meets changing regulatory requirements and ensures reputational risk impact is mitigated / minimized for GPS.

• Optimize the use of the bank resources in the country, by developing and monitoring appropriate MI to manage people, premises and systems.

• Contribute to the country and regional level ALCM requirement by participating in the ALCO and drive country level balance sheet efficiency.

• Develop strategies to position the global HSBC GPS solutions for domestic clients who have international cash management requirements thus drive managed revenue as well.

• Strive for class-leading customer experience by cultivating a consistent selling and relationship management culture.

• Drive a high-performance culture through effective people management activities that actively supports employee engagement by taking action against agreed priorities in identified action plans.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience

• Prior experience in GPS with knowledge of the evolving cash management landscape in the region is preferable.

• Prior experience in leading a high performing business.

• Proven ability in identifying and proactively meeting customer needs.

• A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes.

• Clear understanding of the market, trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.

• Proven leadership capability.

• Ability to navigate complex problems to deliver profitable customer centric solutions.

• Willingness to learn and ability to work in a rapidly changing technical environment.
