Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of complex large-scale infrastructure and city development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of project management, including site selection, design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project control procedures, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Drive a culture of safety excellence by enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting accident-free work practices, and conducting regular safety audits.
- Manage contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and vendor relationships to optimize project costs, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and licenses for construction activities, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of construction professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training opportunities to foster talent development and knowledge sharing.
- Implement effective quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, minimize risks, and elevate overall construction standards.
- Drive innovation in construction methodologies, technologies, and sustainability practices, leveraging global best practices and previous experience to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Review and analyze project performance metrics, financial reports, and KPIs to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and communicate project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and community members, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction management, incorporating knowledge into project strategies and decision-making processes.
- Provide leadership in crisis management situations, demonstrating flexibility, resilience, and effective problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges and ensure project continuity.
- Participate in key project meetings, presentations, and reviews, offering insights, recommendations, and strategic direction to drive project success and exceed client expectations.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a Ministry of Education-accredited university.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in managing large infrastructure or city development projects, qualifying for a construction manager role.
- Expertise in overseeing large-scale international government/semi-government construction sites, with direct involvement in site engineering, project control, environment, health and safety, contract management, and quality management.
- Proven track record of implementing accident-free work execution philosophy and promoting a culture of safety and risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with government agencies and facility service providers to achieve project objectives.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and talent development within the construction industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English and preferably Arabic.
- Preferred global work experience, including previous roles in Saudi Arabia.
