FINANCIAL RETURNS:

  • Assists in control of inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.
  • Assists in enforcing, documenting and establishing adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.
  • Maintains up-to-date account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information.
  • Identifies training needs, develops formal training plans and conducts training sessions for accounting and operational staff in coordination with other departments and as directed  by the controller.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
  • Assists in providing safekeeping, including proper storage and access for all contracts, leases and other financial records.
  • Assists in follow-up on capital expenditures to ensure compliance with original justification and approval.
  • Maintains professional and technical competence.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by IHC policy and procedures generally accepted accounting practices and as effected by local conditions.
  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

PEOPLE:

  • Manage day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
  • Educate, train and motivate accounting teams to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensure staff has the information, market data, tools and equipment to successfully carry out job duties. Provide direction to hotel employees on how decision making impacts profits.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key other department.

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure accounting practices, support the guest experience through payment options (example: credit card systems, room charges), inventory controls and financial dispute resolution.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

  • Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices as required by company policy and procedures.
  • Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain records for internal and external audits; ensure compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements.
  • Participate in local recognized professional and industry organizations
  • Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as manager–on-duty.

What We need from you:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting and a good knowledge of accounting principles
  • Good communication skills for working with staff of varying nationalities
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office, i. e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proactive and independent
  • Flexible and enthusiastic.
  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree (English Studying Materials) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
