Operational accountabilities include:

  • Efficiently handle the stock intake and replenishment for either a department or selection of brands in line with set KPls.
  • Forecast and plan in conjunction with the supplier/s and planning manager to ensure maximum availability. Maintain the replenishment systems to optimize stock management.
  • Prepare reports and analysis to provide management team and key stakeholders with clear transparent analysis and data.
  • Agree promotional orders quantities with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory in line with activity expectations.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Build professional business relationships with procurement, retail, space planning, suppliers and logistics at the appropriate contact level.
  • React to new activity and projects with plans to maximize potential.
  • Responsible for achieving targets as set and manage exit strategies.
  • Review promotions and new lines, raise orders and supervise the orders initiated by the Coordinator. Identify future risks and opportunities in line with the Qatar Duty Free business growth ambitions and propose mitigation actions.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
  • Or Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related
  • Experience of planning, organizing and prioritizing in the Retail/Manufacturing industry.
  • Experience of merchandising/replenishment systems – ideally Microsoft AX, SAP or Oracle.
  • Experience of working within high-volume retail — able to work with a large range of stock-keeping unit.
  • Experience in multi-site operations or sales management environment
  • Experience in using planning software and data system
  • OTB (Open-to-Buy) WSSI (weekly sales and stock intake plan) planning experience.
  • Proven experience in forecasting, demand planning, inventory management and working with replenishment systems.
