Business Intelligence Architect (IT)

We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual who will design and implement a governed self-service BI strategy. You will play a key role in architecting a scalable and secure BI environment that empowers business users to access and analyze data while ensuring data governance and compliance. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical specifications and solutions to deliver actionable insights.

Roles and Responsibilities

•  Develop a governed self-service BI strategy that empowers users to access and analyze data independently while maintaining data integrity and security
• Design, develop, and implement BI solutions that enhance data visibility and facilitate decision making.
• Design and build a robust BI architecture that supports self-service analytics, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data visualization tools.
• Define and develop guidelines for data access controls and user permissions for self-service BI tools.
• Define guidelines to create and maintain BI semantic models to ensure data consistency, integrity, and scalability in BI solutions.
• Ability to translate analytics requirements in to a future proof BI architecture.
• Evaluate and identify and integrate best-of-breed BI technologies to meet the organization’s needs.
• Maintain accurate and complete technical architectural documents.
• Diagnose and resolve BI tool capacity issues and recommend strategies to improve performance and capacity of BI tools.

Qualifications

About You

• 5+ years of experience in BI architecture and design.
•  Strong knowledge of BI technologies and experience in developing self-service BI strategies  Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
•  Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data modelling tools.
•  Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages.
•  Experience with popular BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Alteryx).
• Experience in semantic layer tools (e.g. Looker Modeler)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.  Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
• Knowledge of data mesh architecture.
