Leidos is seeking an AWACS Advisor with knowledge of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) E-3 AWACS aircraft. The AWACS Technical Advisor will be part of the Contractor Engineering and Technical Support team in support of a U.S. Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
**This position is immediately available with an end of tour bonus, hardship allowance, COLA, and other incentives. This is a one-year assignment with option to renew.**
The AWACS Technical Advisor shall perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical technical knowledge to include, but not limited to, the following:
Provide Engineering and technical support for all RSAF aircraft general maintenance assistance/technician issues.
Coordinate with the Field Service Representative, based at the MOB, any maintenance issue.
Be the focal point for maintenance activities and provide an entry point for all technical queries and engineering replies.
Facilitate the technical interface between the RSAF and the Contractor.
Prepare reports, briefings, and other correspondence as required.
Does all work pertaining to the Administrator Modification Control and works as a team for the benefit of RSAF.
Train RSAF personnel.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance Technician Skill level and 12 to 15 years of Aircraft Maintenance (Boeing 707 preferred); 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
10 years maintenance experience equivalent to RSAF AFSC 251 (7 level).
Must have experience directing personnel on overhauls, modifications, and improvements and able to oversee investigations of aircraft mishaps.
Experience in theory of aviation and basic understanding of jet engines and all aircraft systems.
3 years’ experience in logistics.
Must be able to perform reviews of requirements and translates them into technical specifications of equipment once needed.
Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to administration, communication, correspondence, messages, publications, and forms management, general office management, overall organizational structure, and its interrelationship with the mission.
Knowledgeable of the aircraft maintenance department and observes all production efforts, and collects all data pertaining to logistics, maintenance, safety and security.
Knowledgeable on procedures of aircraft maintenance and mobility operations.
Knowledge and proficient in using computer and Microsoft software.
