As an Ancillary Development Manager, you will be responsible to support the Line Manager to implement the ancillary revenue strategy across all sales channels. You will be managing existing ancillary products portfolio across all sales channels, identifying new and innovative ancillary revenue opportunities, managing the development and project implementation of new ancillary products, as well as monitoring ancillary performance.

As part of your dailly responsibilities, you will also:

  • Manage existing and new ancillary products sales strategies through innovative technologies that meets a customer centric product value proposition for ancillary product offering throughout a customer journey cycle across all sales touch points.
  • Monitor Ancillary Daily / monthly revenue performance and evaluation by products.
  • Drive Ancillary sales team in delivering ancillary sales strategies to meet ancillary revenue goals and manage cost of sale on ancillary products to maximise ROI. Manage cross-functional teams and multiple work streams on strategic implementation of ancillary products and help to develop and support strong partnerships within the project and across the business avoiding silos by acting as the focal point for ancillary products development across all sales channels.
  • Guide Ancillary sales team in delivering and maintaining ancillary products Contracts / Procurement / CMC requests / Business Cases / Risk and Mitigation analysis, Ancillary Marketing asset, ancillary products pricing and distribution through GALAXY and ATPCO for all sales channels.
  • Manage the delivery of new ancillary products, strategic change initiatives and ensuring project alignments.
  • Manage all operational support through Overrides scenarios, Technical clarification for Support teams — QR Helpdesk, E-ticket support, Ecommerce support and Contact centres. To ensure business continuity. Account management with Ancillary Partner (External and Internal stake holders), for the ancillary products enhancements, to improve revenue performance.
  • Conduct revenue opportunity analysis for commercialization on new products.
  • Negotiate and reach agreement with the regions as well as other internal and external stakeholders for launching new / enhancements to ancillary products.
  • Conduct engagement reviews and perform quality assurance procedures to ensure that proper project governance is enforced throughout the projects. Track and report benefits, risk and opportunities to maximize value up to senior management level as required.
  • Work closely with the Line Manager to develop B2B and B2C ancillary selling strategies for project implementations.
  • Monitor airline and other industry ancillary revenue developments and trends and conduct competitive benchmarking.

Qualifications

About You

A successful candidate should possess the following experience and qualifications. Please note that this role is for Qatari nationals only.

  • Min. Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • 7+ years of managing airline ancillary products
  • Proven experience of driving ancillary sales within an airline
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of ancillary services, current and future products and technologies
  • Advanced understanding of business understanding of airline Ticketing and EMD issuance policies, Amadeus reservations systems and Ecommerce sales fulfilment process.
  • Development and implementation of strategies, policies and frameworks
  • Possess an understanding of commercial functions including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management Negotiation skills.
  • Advanced understanding of systems and technology in business, able to communicate technical concepts in a tailored way.
