Requirements:

 

    • Bachelor degree in Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field.

 

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – English & Arabic

 

    • Public Relations

 

    • Media Relations

 

    • Public Affairs

 

    • Industry-specific knowledge and understanding of the Qatar Market

 

    • High level of accountability and collaboration

 

    • Strong Interpersonal, time and project management skills

 

    • Presentation, leadership, and communication skills

 

    • Receptiveness to feedback and adaptability

 

    • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.

 

    • Willing to take initiative + innovative approach to managing work

 

    • Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Developing a marketing communications plan including strategy, PR plans, budget and PR/media tactics.

 

    • Main client-agency interface for all things PR

 

    • Developing a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media

 

    • Media relations end-to-end

 

    • Planning + executing Press conferences

 

    • Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.

 

    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.

 

    • Writing press releases and other media communications to promote clients.

 

    • Planning or directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.

 

    • Studying the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.

 

    • Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders’ reports, for internal and external audiences.

 

    • Cross-collaboration to identify trends and group interests and providing advice on business decisions.

 

    • Ability to pitch to the media.

 

    • Knowledge of consumer marketing.

 

    • Ability to work on big ideas, planning PR strategies all the way to execution and day-today tasks.

 

    • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.

 

    • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.

 

    • Understanding of social media and solid experience working with influencers/bloggers.

 

    • Project and budget management skills.

 

    • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business
