Wyndham is now seeking a Hygiene Officer to join our team at Wyndham Doha West Bay in Doha, N/A.

Job Summary

The Hygiene Manager will be responsible to implement and monitor programs and processes necessary to ensure the hotel remains in compliance with all corporate, federal and local sanitation, food safety, health & safety requirements. Drive and coordinate the implementation of HACCP programs and ensure continuous improvement in the hotel performance in consultation with relevant authorities.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, or a related field.
  • Certified in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and/or ISO 22000.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international hygiene standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Fundamental Requirements

To implement weekly checklist for Food Preparation / Storekeeper / Cost Control / Stewarding / Food Production. Monthly Food Safety Training report.

To implement chemical supplier group audit report.

To ensure top management is fully aware of high risk areas for food-borne illness.

To ensure recommendation for further improvement.

To ensure high confidentiality for internal results.

To ensure full integrity in carrying out the audits.

To audit and supervise all aspects of HACCP and Hygiene & Sanitation Matters involved in the selection of Hygiene & Sanitation Managers for the Hotels in the area.

To maintain a good and professional relation towards all municipalities.

To ensure that the corporate Hygiene Manual is updated and implemented for an assigned area.

To coordinate external government HACCP and Hygiene audits.

To conduct HACCP & hygiene training programs.

To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.

To adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations at all times.
