The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an outstanding Secondary Inclusion Coordinator to join a well-established and supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role

 

The purpose of this role is to support pupils with AEN across the secondary school and contribute to raising the educational achievement of these pupils by working in sustained collaboration with curriculum and inclusion teams.

 

About You

 

As Secondary Inclusion Coordinator, you will be expected to – 

 

  • Maintaining an up-to-date and robust Inclusion register, pupil files and documentation  
  • Managing human resources in the Inclusion team as directed by the SENCo
  • Act in a Teaching Assistant capacity to provide push-in and pull-out support
  • Set up specific Learning Support CCAs/after school provision/Homework clubs for AEN students
  • Assist the SENCo with developing a suitable programme of support
  • Liaising, advising and consulting with other members of the Inclusion team 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Degree level education and/or relevent AEN qualification and experience
  • Strong background of working with secondary age students
  • A passion for education a young people
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students

 

 

Ideally, you will already live in the UAE

Selection Process

 

Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two professional referees, one of which should be your current Line Manager.

 

Interviews will be conducted in school.
