Job Purpose
The incumbent orders, receives, inspects, and verifies and stores a variety of supplies and materials. Retrieves items from stock, verifies, packs and prepares for shipment a variety of equipment, materials and supplies. This position is differentiated from that of the Storekeeper by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Warehouse.
The incumbent is to be well versed in Bar Coding Handheld System (where training will be provided) and troubleshoot day to day operations and working with IT to resolve. The goal is to ensure all handhelds are able to operate smoothly without fail and working with the storekeepers to ensure all transactions to be carry out timely and accurately in SAP.
Job Description
- Working safely and ensuring a safe working environment for others
- Unload and sort products following defined procedures and by using appropriate systems and tools.
- Pick and pack products from product shelves in line with customer orders.
- Assist other operators complete the necessary work to fulfil business needs.
- This position assists to oversee the operation of the Issuing and Shipping, including providing assistance and guidance to other warehouse employees.
- Ability to organize workload, work under periodic pressure and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Assigns, monitors, coordinates, and participates in the shipping and receiving work of Storekeepers.
- Inspect and ensure storekeepers on daily checks and updating of checklist for all tools and equipment (Forklift, stackers, overhead cranes, Lifting Slings).
- Provide good support and service to internal customers like Planners/Buyers, QC, Assembly & Test or Customer Service, to support their needs in day to day. Need proper follow up and must be responsive.
- Establish inventory controls system to maintain all inventory records and documentation for at least five years in a systematic manner and accounted for audit purpose.
- Provides direction, guidance and assistance to other warehouse employees in carrying out the efficient and effective operation of the Warehouse.
- Conduct training to all storekeepers in warehouse processes, bar coding handheld, Lean Manufacturing
- Need to learn all warehouse process in Receiving, Locating, Issuing and Cycle counting
You are meant for this job if:
- Technical bachelor’s degree.
- 8 years of experience
- Ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Proven Warehousing Experience.
