Key Responsibilities:
- QG Approval and Certification: Ensure that you are approved by QG and hold a valid Scaff Card for the Supervisory level.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least four (4) years in a supervisory capacity and four (4) years in an inspector role.
- Certifications: Hold a Scaffolding Supervisor course certificate recognized by The Company or a comparable certification from international boards such as CITB, CISRS, or OSHA.
- Supervision and Inspection: Oversee the construction, inspection, and certification of scaffolding structures, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Standards Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of both old and new scaffolding standards, including BS 5973 and EN 12811.
- Engineering Interpretation: Be able to interpret engineering drawings and possess a sound knowledge of oil and gas industrial plant safety.
- HSE Awareness: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues and conduct toolbox talks to scaffold crews.
- Team Supervision: Supervise the service team effectively, maintaining full disciplinary and trade control over the tradesmen.
- Maintenance Skills: Be skilled in general maintenance work on all The Company facilities.
- Industrial Safety Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of industrial safety, health, and environmental aspects.
- Communication Skills: Be able to communicate effectively in English and the language of the tradesmen. This includes reading and writing proficiency.
- Coordination and Organization: Organize work efficiently and coordinate with other contractors and The Company representatives.
- Medical Fitness: Be certified medically fit for scaffolding work and working at heights.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Relevant technical or engineering qualification.
- Professional Certifications: Certification from recognized bodies (CITB, CISRS, OSHA).
- Experience: Minimum of eight years of scaffolding experience, with significant time spent in supervisory and inspection roles.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and the language of the tradesmen.
