POSITION PURPOSE

Serve as the single point of coordination for assigned import, export and domestic moves into and out of the local region

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS

Manage the household goods process from booking to delivery; origin to destination, import, export and domestic.

Counsel clients to ensure the best ongoing experience regarding their household goods shipments, pack outs, deliveries, etc.

Manage the expectations of both domestic and international customers

Liaise with moving operations, customer service reps, sales and crew leaders in order to stay up to date on customer needs, service developments, insurance matters. Attend daily planning meetings with warehouse supervisor, crew manager and Operations Manager to analyse and plan effectively.

Work closely with Pricing Analyst and Quoting department to best price services and jobs for the most cost-effective solutions

Confirming transport and service quotes from agents and vendors, and requesting a discount when possible

Requesting and booking of export and import shipments with agents and vendors

Waybill documentation for outgoing and incoming shipments

Checking required customs documentation for import and export shipments

Monitoring documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments

Closing jobs with actual cost calculations

Coordinating the shipments schedule with crew leader and customs specialist

Preparation of main documents for individual moves

Daily update of electronic files and documents required throughout the cycle of each household goods moving service.

Meet or exceed service metrics and revenue capture expectations

Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers

Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision

Other duties as reasonably assigned

 

Skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years Moving or Logistics Coordination Experience is preferred

Strong English skills (written and verbal) are essential.

Preference of College degree

Excellent Customer Service Skills.

PC applications: Word, Excel, Open office, Windows

Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.

Ability to gain respect and build good relationships with customers, partners and colleagues

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Effectively works well under pressure.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

Provide “after hours” contact information to clients when in the middle of a service delivery.

Frequent, consistent verbal and written communication.

Able to maintain regular, predictable attendance.
