Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and assist them with their purchases.
  • Scan items, process payments, and issue receipts using cash registers or POS systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Answer customer questions and address any concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
  • Ensure pricing and product information is accurate.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions securely.
  • Balance cash drawers and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cash registers or POS systems.
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications.
