Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities • Manage the projects performance and ensure the project is delivered within the budget, on schedule, and as per contract requirements • Be accountable for the project budget, on time execution and compliance to the contract and technical requirements. Coordinate with Manager – Production and Planning Manager for the allocation of resources on the assigned project • Provide update on the project progress (to internal and external stakeholders) and propose forecasts to the assigned Project Plan Coordinator on a daily basis and identify variances from the project plan and communicate to Manager – Production and client • Coordinate proper handover of the project documentation from the commercial section • Manage the project communication plan in order to assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel • Prepare and manage risks mitigation plans for each project, communicate deviations from the initially agreed project plan to internal and external stakeholders • Prepare project status reports on activities completed by collecting and analyzing information and trends • Implement and actively enforce compliance to work processes to ensure the health and safety of employees are under control and the protection of the environment is highly maintained • Focus on the department objectives and propose new initiatives in order to formulate strategies and suggest changes or improvements to current business plans, policies, and procedures • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification: – Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or marine or any related field Professional Experience: – 4-6 years’ experience in Project Management from leading shipyard companies worldwide Geographic Experience: – GCC or other countries in a similar business setting Computer Skills: – Good knowledge of MS Office and web applications Language Skills: – Fluent in English – both written and spoken; Arabic as a plus Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge: – Strong Project management practices and techniques – Strong knowledge of general repair, outfitting and fabrication operations and services – Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, hull coatings and steel repairs – Understanding of QHSSE regulation – Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems
