MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- As Project Manager work on Manages projects and co-ordinates with other engineers Planning, organizing, delegating, influencing, and leading the project management team.
- Getting familiar with the client’s business environment to lead projects effectively.
- Coordinating with relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization.
- Allocating tasks to the project engineers and providing regular guidance to team members.
- Ensuring the scope and schedule of projects are achievable within the given time and budget.
- Acts as the Single Point of Accountability from Concept to SH1 to financial closeout of projects for their respective Portfolio.
- Serves as the primary contact for client project management department, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conducts thorough reviews of Engineering Service Requests (ESRs), ensuring alignment with project requirements and technical standards.
- Prepares CTRs (Cost, Time, Resources) , considering project constraints and objectives.
- Holds responsibility for developing and maintaining the overall project schedule, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Manages the workload distribution for Senior Project Engineers (SPE) / Project Engineers (PE) in both Abu Dhabi and Iraq, optimizing team efficiency.
- Oversees resource management, ensuring the allocation and utilization of resources align with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Manages risk by identifying potential issues, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing measures to ensure project success.
- Ensures quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Handles comprehensive project reporting, providing regular updates to stakeholders, management, and other relevant parties.
- Facilitates effective decision-making processes, resolving issues promptly to keep the project on track.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, implementing lessons learned and best practices.
- Conducts regular project reviews to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participates in the development of project strategies, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Represents the project in discussions with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, fostering positive relationships.
- Participates in project strategic planning, offering necessary governance and support to meet Stage Gate requirements.
- Aligns efforts with organizational goals and contributes to achieving overarching business objectives.
- Oversee budget and ensure financial accountability.
- Supervise program delivery, assess client needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional accreditation from recognized US, UK, EU, Australian or Canadian institute. E.g. C Eng (UK), PE (USA & Canada), Eur Ing (Europe)
- Site visits to Iraq when required.
- Must have strong oil & gas EPCM projects experience.
- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 7+ years in a managerial position.
- Should have leadership skills, and work as team.
- Ability to establish work plan, budget and staffing foreach phase of project, and arrange for assignment of project personnel.
- Fluent in English.
- Good Communication and Computer Skills
- Experienced in managing Brownfield Projects.
- Proven track record to plan, direct, coordinate and lead activities of major onshore brownfield projects in the Middle East.
- Familiar with implementing and using Project management Processes.
