Senior Logistics Executive

The purpose of the job is to supervise end-to-end logistics department activity which includes the daily inventory movement, daily orders, 3PL warehouse, 3PL logistics service providers, and cost management of the logistics department. Ensure dispatches are made on time by having close internal coordination with the operations team, Production team, Quality Team, Oman customer order service team, Planners, Sales Team, and external AkzoNobel team. The incumbent is also responsible for the safe operation of equipment, training of staff, and Manpower resource management.
 

Key Activities

1. Stock Control

• Responsible for making sure that the physical stock matches the system stock

2. Picking & Order confirmation

• Responsible for making sure that the physical stock matches the system stock

3. Load consolidation

• Optimise vehicle capacity, load consolidation, and route planning

4. Liaising with Transport Companies 

• Responsible for making sure that the physical stock matches the system stock.

5. Documentation Processes

• Prepare transport documentation required for different countries / free zones / marine requirements

6. External warehouse management

• Manage the logistics of third-party lease locations

7. Relations Management

• Build a climate of the highest level of trust develop a reputation of being fair and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers

8. Maintenance

• Ensure preventive maintenance of FLT, reach trucks, and delivery lines is carried out as per the AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract)
• Liaise with maintenance firms to arrange immediate action for equipment breakdowns

9. HSE

• Ensure that all warehouse activities are executed in line with AkzoNobel
• HSE policies with relation to equipment, racking system, and storage.

Experience

• Bachler Degree in Logistics or equivilant Business Degree is preferred
• A certificate in Logistics would be a plus.
