The role of a Credit Research Analyst is to analyze and monitor Investment Grade issuers. They support Liquidity Portfolio Management activities through detailed credit evaluations, bond assessments, and by maintaining relationships with covered companies. This role emphasizes financial insights, bond valuation, and the creditworthiness of issuers to guide informed investment strategies.
Minimum Experience
- 5-9 years’ experience of investment grade debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide fundamental coverage of Investment Grade issuers to support portfolio managers in making investment decisions.
- Perform corporate credit analysis (with a focus on financials) and monitor the credit quality of existing holdings.
- Evaluate new and secondary bond issuances for potential inclusion in the portfolio.
- Identify issuers that have improving or deteriorating fundamentals.
- Build and maintain detailed models to evaluate the creditworthiness of coverage list and assess the relative value of the bonds.
- Maintain relationships with coverage companies.
- Support funding activities by offering insights that align with funding plans and strategies.
- Assist the Investor Relations team by providing data-driven insights to address stakeholder inquiries and compelling narratives for external communications.
