Senior Geomatics Cartographer

• Responsible for the accuracy, quality, provenance, completeness, timeliness, coordination and governance of all reports, charts and deliverables (topographic / hydrographic) in accordance with the company specifications, procedures, processes, systems and confidentiality agreements.
• Providing feedback as appropriate. Responsible for providing ACad consultancy/expertise/advise/training to departments and individuals.

About this role

• Ensures and promotes the application of HSE objectives, Safety Engineering rules / specifications and contractor compliance. Embrace anomalies reporting and promote attendance at HSE events.
• Ensures the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and close out of all stakeholders cartographic projects.
• Consults and delivers the optimum solution for the business.
• Responsible for the delivery of quality deliverables in accordance with confidentiality rules and procedures using various Visualization deliverables (CAD, GIS, Micro-station, Fledermaus) as appropriate.
• Responsible for assuring the quality of all spatial registers including but not limited to platform positions and slots, standalone wells, geotechnical boreholes, pipeline crossings, platform subsidence, mooring piles, historical surveys and rig moves, spud-can penetration, tidal information, etc.
• Responsible for the recurrent publication of the Controlled Field Charts incorporating all approved source data.
• Responsible for the assurance and publication of the Marine Co-Activity charting.
• Collates and extracts includes relevant spatial data as part of the data QA/QC Process.
• Provide cartographic mentoring and development.
• Maintain an awareness of new technologies and working methods in the field of Geomatics
• Report departmental activities to the Geomatics Lead.

What you need to bring:

• Education: MSc or BSc in Architecture, Civils’, Cartography or Geomatics with a land / hydrographic context.
• Professional experience: Minimum 8 years’ recent experience as a Geomatics Cartographer with demonstrable understanding of geodesy, met-ocean, topographic, hydrographic and offshore construction and seismic methodologies.
• Proficiency in a variety of applications including Geographic Calculator, AutoCAD Map 3D, Bentley Micro-station, Fledermaus and Surfer, Notepad++.
• Project management skills: PMI or PRINCE an advantage.
• Behavioral competencies: Strong communication, project management, coordination and collaborative skills.
