Senior Product Specialist

What You Will Do

Work with Altair’s existing and prospective clients to solve problems, create value, improve growth, and maximise business efficiency and profitability through the implementation of Altair’s CAE product offering.

Performance Areas

Serve as a member of the worldwide EDEM Product team with the following responsibilities:

 

·        Generate Specifications for new features to be added to the software.

·        Oversee the feature development ensuring the output matches the specification.

·        Generate real world examples using EDEM and specifically new functionality to promote the software and verify that capabilities meet the needs of engineers.

·        Assist in the software Beta Program and management of QA/Testing activities.

·        Ensure that new functionality is well documented.

·        Work as the expert in one or more of EDEM’s coupled solutions.

·        Support Technical Support Team with new capabilities.

·        Perform performance benchmarks of the software.

·        Work with customers and various teams and disciplines to develop new ideas to solve complex business problems.

 

In addition to this the wider Product Management Team which has the following general responsibilities:  

·        Product Roadmap Management – Ensuring that EDEM continues to develop to meet customer needs and aligns with the company strategy.

·        Development and Testing – Lead the development of enhancements to the product in collaboration with the EDEM Software Development team.

·        Documentation – Ensure that suitable documentation is generated to assist users in using the software.

·        Support EDEM co-simulations – Manage, maintain, and promote EDEM co-simulation solutions with other products such as CFD, FEA and MBD.

·        Marketing, Sales, and Technical Team Support – generate examples of how EDEM can solve engineering problems, perform performance benchmarks, and support other teams in using the software.

 

What You Will Need

Qualifications

·        Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline

Experience

·        Experience using CAE/CFD tools

·        Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer

·        3+ years of experience

 

Preferred Requirements

·        Experience with programming languages (C++/Python or similar)

·        Experience with EDEM or Discrete Element Modelling (DEM)
