Job Description
AECOM is a Fortune 500 global infrastructure consulting firm dedicated to creating, enhancing, and sustaining the world’s built, natural, and social environments. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Administrator to join our team in either Abu Dhabi or Al Ain. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in procurement and administration to contribute to our projects in the region.
- Procurement Coordination:
Assist in the procurement process, including the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions.
- Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and conditions.
Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and related files.
Generate reports on procurement activities for management review.
- Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Communication:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as project managers and finance teams, to understand procurement requirements.
Communicate effectively with suppliers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
Qualifications
Diploma in Business Administration, Office or Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services or engineering environment.
Proven experience in procurement or a related administrative role.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
Knowledge of procurement software/tools is a plus.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
